The “Adventure Romantica” Giveaway (the “Contest”) starts at 12:00 PM ET on January 11, 2010 and continues until 12:00 PM ET on June 30, 2010 (the “Contest Period”).
Instant Win Entry: With any purchase of specially marked packages of Dr. Oetker Ristorante Pizza made during the Contest Period you will find a unique 10-digit PIN code (the “Pin Code”) printed inside the product packaging, while supplies last. Existing members of the www.oetker.ca/moments database will automatically receive one complimentary PIN Code. If you are not already a member, you can register for free at www.oetker.ca/moments to become a member during the Contest Period and you will receive a complimentary Pin Code. To enter, go to www.ristorante.ca, follow the Contest links, and fully complete the online entry form (which requires your full name, mailing address, ten digit day and evening telephone numbers, email address, age and your unique PIN Code). You must check the “I Accept” box to indicate that you have read and agree to abide by these Official Contest Rules (the “Rules”). Click the “submit” button to complete your entry. Entries will be rejected if entry form is not fully completed (including entering the unique Pin Code and agreeing to the Rules) and submitted during the Contest Period. Limit of one (1) entry per unique PIN Code during the Contest Period. There is no limit to the number of entries per person. Use of any automated or robotic system to enter is prohibited and will automatically result in disqualification. PIN Codes will expire at the close of the Contest Period.
Grand Prize Entry: Each Pin Code entry results in one (1) automatic ballot for the Grand Prize draw. To win an extra ballot for the Grand Prize draw entrants can play an online grape crushing game (”Game”). Users will be given 25 seconds to tap the left and right arrows on the keyboard to move the legs of the character on screen to fill bottles of wine. If the user fills 5 bottles within the 25 seconds they are rewarded the extra ballot for the Grand Prize draw. If they do not fill 5 bottles, they do not receive an extra ballot for the Grand Prize draw. There is no limit to the number of ballots per person but maximum one entry and one extra ballot per unique Pin Code. Each Pin Code provides one ballot and an opportunity to play the Game for an additional ballot.
To receive a unique PIN Code without purchase, while supplies last, write a unique and original 50 word or more essay (the “Essay”) about “Why you love Dr. Oetker Ristorante Pizza” and send it along with a hand-written self-addressed, postage-paid envelope to: Dr. Oetker “Adventure Romantica” Giveaway, P.O. Box 4099, Paris, ON, N3L 3W9. You will receive one (1) unique PIN Code for each unique and original Essay per envelope with sufficient postage. All No Purchase PIN Code requests must be received by June 4, 2010 to ensure timely delivery of Pin Code to entrants.
This Contest is open to legal residents of Canada, who have reached the age of majority in their province or territory of residence at the time of entry, excluding employees (and those with whom such employees are domiciled) of the Contest Sponsor, its advertising and promotion agencies and the independent contest judging organization. The Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws and regulations.
Grand Prize: There is one (1) Grand Prize available to be won consisting of a Trip to Italy for Two (2) which includes return economy airfare for two (2) people to Italy, departing from the Canadian international gateway airport closest to the winner’s place of residence; eleven (11) nights hotel accommodation (double occupancy); one winery tour and $1,500 CDN in spending money. The approximate retail value of the Grand Prize is $10,000 CDN based on a Vancouver departure example, although the actual retail value will vary depending on the point of departure. Trip must be taken between July 15, 2010 and July 15, 2011. The Grand Prize winner and his or her travel companion must travel together on the same itinerary. Winner and his/her travelling companions must have the legal right to leave Canada and to return to Canada and must have legal right to enter and leave the destination country to which they are bound. Winner is fully responsible for obtaining, at their own expense, all documentation necessary for the trip, including but not limited to visas, and passports, prior to departure. The Contest Sponsor assumes no responsibility should the Grand Prize winner and/or his/her travel companion be denied entry into Italy or readmission to Canada for any reason whatsoever. All costs and expenses not specifically included above as part of the Grand Prize including, without limitation, cancellation fees, taxes, departure taxes, other travel related taxes and fees, duties and levies, ground transportation, meals, telephone charges, incidental expenses, medical expenses and other items of a personal nature, gratuities and insurance, are the sole responsibility of the Grand Prize Winner and his/her guest. The Grand Prize as described is subject to change, may not be exchanged for cash, is non-transferable, non-refundable, non-salable, and must be accepted “as awarded”. At its election, the Contest Sponsor reserves the right to substitute any portion of the Grand Prize with a prize of equivalent or greater retail value, including, without limitation, but at Contest Sponsor’s sole discretion, a cash award.
Instant Win Prizes: There are one hundred thousand and eight (100,008) Instant Win Prizes (100,008 instant win pins out of a maximum of 2,152,000 PINS available) available to be won as follows:

All prizes must be accepted as awarded and are not transferable or convertible to cash. No substitutions except at Contest Sponsor’s option. Contest Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to substitute a prize or a prize component with one of equal or greater value, including without limitation, at Contest Sponsor’s sole discretion, a cash award. Prizes will only be awarded to the person whose full name and valid email address appears on the entry form. Please allow six to eight weeks for prize delivery to the address specified on the entry form.
If you are a winner of an Instant Win prize, a window will pop up notifying you of your instant win, then you are eligible to win the corresponding prize (subject to compliance with these Rules). You must retain each original Email in order to claim a prize. At the outset of the Contest, the overall odds of winning an Instant Win prize are 1:21. The number of Instant Win prizes available to be won will decrease as Instant Win Prizes are claimed throughout Contest Period.
How to Redeem: To claim your instant win prize, if you are an eligible winner, you will be contacted within 7-10 days by a contest administrator according to the information provided at time of registration at http://www.oetker.ca/moments. Eligible winners will be required to retain original winning confirmation emails with the Pin Code that correspond to the instant win prize won.
Before Being Declared a Winner: An Instant Win Prize Claimant will be contacted by telephone or email. If an Instant Win Prize Claimant cannot be contacted within ten (10) days of verification or there is a return of any prior notification as undeliverable, then that Instant Win Prize Claimant will be disqualified. Before being declared a winner, each Instant Win Prize Claimant will be required to correctly answer a time limited mathematical skill testing question and may be required to sign a declaration and release, which will be administered via email or mail. Guest of Tour winner must also sign and return declaration and release. If the Instant Win Prize Claimant fails to correctly answer the skill testing question, or sign and return any declaration and release as indicated, then he/she will forfeit the prize.
A random draw (from among all eligible Grand Prize entries received during the Contest Period) will be held on July 15, 2010 in Toronto, Ontario at approximately 12:00 PM ET. The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible Grand Prize entries received during the Contest Period. Selected entrant will be contacted by phone or email. If the selected entrant cannot be contacted within ten (10) days of selection or there is a return of any prior notification as undeliverable, that selected entrant will be disqualified and an alternate entrant will be selected from among the remaining eligible Grand Prize entries. Before being declared a winner, the selected entrant will be required to: (a) correctly answer a time limited mathematical skill testing question; and sign and return within 10 business days of notification a declaration and release form confirming compliance with these Contest Rules, acceptance of the Grand Prize as awarded and releasing the Contest Sponsor, its advertising and promotion agencies, the independent contest judging organization and each of their respective officers, directors, agents, representatives, successors and assigns from any liability in connection with this Contest, the selected entrant’s participation therein and/or the awarding and use/misuse of the Grand Prize or any portion thereof. If the selected entrant: (a) fails to correctly answer the skill testing question; or (b) if applicable, fails to return the properly executed contest documents within the specified time, then he/she will forfeit the Grand Prize and an alternate eligible entrant will be selected from among the remaining eligible Grand Prize entries. This process will be repeated until the Grand Prize has been awarded. The Grand Prize winner’s travel companion must also sign (and have his/her parent/legal guardian sign if he/she is a minor) a travel companion release form prepared by the Contest Sponsor.
By entering the Contest, each Prize Claimant/Instant Win Prize Claimant/selected entrant hereby agrees to the publication, reproduction and/or other use of his/her name, address, voice, statements about the Contest and/or photograph or other likeness without further notice or compensation, in any publicity or advertisement carried out by the Sponsor in any manner whatsoever, including print, broadcast or the Internet. All entries become the property of the Contest Sponsor, which assumes no responsibility for lost, delayed, incomplete or misdirected entries. The decisions of the Contest Sponsor and/or independent contest judging organization with respect to all aspects of this Contest are final and binding on all entrants without right of appeal, including without limitation, any decisions relating to the verification of Pin Codes and the eligibility and/or disqualification of entrants and/or entries.
Without limitation, the Contest Sponsor, its advertising and promotion agencies and the independent contest judging organization will not be liable for any failure of the website during the Contest; for an technical malfunction or other problems relating to the telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment or software; for the failure of any entry to be received by the Sponsor, its advertising and promotion agencies or the independent contest judging organization for any reason including, but not limited to, technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website; or any combination of the above. Further, the Contest Sponsor, its advertising and promotion agencies and the independent contest judging organization will not be liable for any injury or damage to an entrant’s or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from participating or downloading any material in the Contest.
In the event of a dispute regarding who submitted an entry, online entries will be deemed to have been submitted by the authorized account holder of the email address submitted at the time of entry. “Authorized account holder” is defined as the person who is assigned an email address by an internet provider, online service provider, or other organization (e.g. business, educational institute, etc.) that is responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted email address. A Prize Claimant/Instant Win Prize Claimant/selected entrant may be required to provide proof that he/she is the authorized account holder of the email address associated with the selected entry. The sole determinant of the time for the purposes of a valid on line entry in this Contest will be the Contest server machine(s).
The Contest Sponsor reserves the right, subject to the approval of the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux (“Régie”), to withdraw or amend this Contest in any way, or to change these Rules, in the event of an error, technical problem, computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failure or any other cause beyond the reasonable control of the Contest Sponsor that interferes with the proper conduct of this Contest as contemplated by these Rules. Any attempt to deliberately damage any website or to undermine the legitimate operation of this Contest is a violation of criminal and civil laws and should such an attempt be made, the Contest Sponsor reserves the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law.
The Contest Sponsor is not responsible for any errors or omissions in printing or advertising this Contest. The Contest Sponsor, with the consent of the Régie, reserves the right to cancel or suspend this Contest, or to amend these Rules, in the event of any accident, printing, administrative or other error or any kind without prior notice or obligation. In the event, due to a printing production or other error, more than the advertised number of Instant Win prizes are claimed, there will be a random draw conducted amongst all eligible prize claimants to award the correct number of prizes after the Contest ends.
For Quebec residents: Any litigation respecting the conduct or organization of a publicity contest may be submitted to the Régie. Any litigation respecting the awarding of the prize may be submitted to the Régie only for the purpose of helping the parties reach a settlement.
By entering this contest, each entrant expressly consents to the Contest Sponsor, its agents and/or representatives, storing, sharing and using the personal information submitted with his/her entry only for the purpose of administering the contest and in accordance with Contest Sponsor’s Privacy Policy at www.oetker.ca, unless the entrant otherwise agrees.
