
Grease the base of the springform pan. Preheat oven to 350°F.
In a mixing bowl, mix the flavour with the baking powder. Add the remaining ingredients and process everything with a mixer first on the lowest level, then on the highest level into crumbles. Spread 2/3 of the crumble on the base of the springform pan and press down, forming a rim about 3 cm high.
Peel apples and cut into wedges. Mix the apple slices with the remaining ingredients and spread over the base. Scatter the rest of the apple streusel topping on top. Put the dish on the rack in the oven.
Baking time: around 50 minutes
Loosen the crumble and apple cake and let it cool in the springform on a cake rack.
Before serving, dust the crumble and apple cake with powdered sugar, if you like.
