
In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and Dr. Oetker Vanilla Sugar using a hand mixer until light and fluffy. Add the egg and egg yolk mixing well until fully incorporated.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, Dr. Oetker Baking Powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, mixing on low speed until a smooth dough forms.
Preheat your oven to 180°C. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Using two tablespoons form into balls and roll in sugar to coat evenly. Place them on the prepared baking sheet spacing 2 inches apart, and flatten slightly with the bottom of a measuring cup or glas.
Bake the cookies in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden. Remove from the oven and allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
